The Multimedia Engineering course is a four-year degree programme offered by the Faculty of Engineering. In order to provide students with sufficient training and practical design experience in multimedia technology and applications, the programme offers subjects in fields such as computer organisation and architecture, data communications, computer networking and security, audio and video processing, multimedia systems, computer graphics and virtual reality, Java technology and multimedia system design. Training on traditional engineering fields such as circuit theory, electronics, programming, database system, communications, automation, electromagnetic theory are also provided. Engineering mathematics courses are offered to students to provide the students with a good foundation in engineering problem-solving and analysis. In addition, cyber law, economics, accounting and management are offered to engineering students for a good exposure in these fields. Students are also required to work on laboratory experiments, graduation projects and industrial training to develop their design skills and analytical insight in handling practical engineering problems in the real industrial environment.
