The Young Scientist Network of Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) is organising an awards ceremony for all Malaysian postgraduate students (Masters or PhD) of 35 years and below. The submission requirements include a 5-min video pitch about the Current Research Ecosystem in Malaysia along with a one-page Infographic CV.

Shortlisted finalists will be entitled to attend free workshops under YSN-ASM. At the end of the year, the awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the annual YSN-ASM Colloquium to recognise 3 most outstanding individuals among the finalists. All finalists receive certificates of recognition, while award recipients receive award certificates and plaques.
The Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) is pleased to announce a Call for Applications for MMU Startup and Spin-off Schemes. The schemes were introduced to drive the initiative to nurture entrepreneurship among students and staff by providing financial support for the pre-seed and seed stages of the startup or spin-off.

Dyson is proud to announce that 2019 entries for the famed James Dyson Award is now open! This year marks the 15th anniversary in empowering the next generation of engineers to solve the problems that will impact their future.
Last year, Dyson had received many brilliant inventions, including Malaysia's James Dyson Award national winner SENSLAR, who looked into solving the problem of inefficient solar energy capturing with its smart sensitive solar floating platform. Who will be the next winners of 2019?

This James Dyson Award runs in 27 countries that is open to university level students studying product design, industrial design and engineering. The award encourages ideas that challenge convention, lean engineering - less is more, and design with the environment in mind. The best inventions are simple and practical yet provide a solution to a real world problem. A national winner is selected for every country the award runs in, before going through to the final phase where the international winner is chosen by James Dyson.
