Solution:
1) Print out the CV and your result transcript.

Recently we have received calls from companies claiming that some students who have initially accepted job offers but then rejected it after a week or two.

MMU sees this as a very unprofessional act that tarnishes the image of the university.

The ITP committee has the right to drop you from taking your ITP this round if a very serious case is reported.

Do not promise or accept a job offer if you are not certain. You may request the company to give you more time to consider. In that case, when you decide to accept another company's offer, it is your courtesy to inform the company which you wish to turn down.

Please take this message seriously as the university is not going to tolerate anymore complaints from the industry.

Several students have contacted me on the possibility of internship at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. According to the person-in-charge at the university, internship is only available during the period which coincides with Trimester 2 in MMU. Just to clarify, if you are doing training in Trimester 1 2010/2011 please put Trimester 1 and Academic Year 2010/2011 in your personal particulars fields. This is important for the committee members to know how many students they have to place for this ITP cycle, especially for those who select MMU placement. If you put this wrong, the committee members won't be able to find your record when they go through the list of students.

Apart from submitting your CV online, you are also required to submit the CV hardcopy printout along with your transcript to your respective faculty (as stated in the announcement below). In your CV, the selected option (either SELF or MMU placement) must be clearly stated.
The transcript can be printed out from ICEMS and most importantly it displays your total Credit Hour passed (> 84).

For students wanting to do their training in Trimester 1 of 2010-2011, please do ALL the following between 22 February 2010 to 5pm on 5 March 2010 (this was initially supposed to be between 1 March 2010 to 5 March 2010, but we have brought forward the starting date to give students more time, while maintaining the same deadline):

1. Log in online to update your CV. In particular, please kindly update (i) the total number of credit hours passed, (ii) option for finding own placement or asking MMU to find placement, and (iii) select 3 different location preferences. After updating your CV, please click the “submit” button to officially submit it. For those who exercise this AFTER the given deadline, you will be classified as SELF-finding automatically.

2. Print out the finalised CV and a copy of your latest result transcript. Sign ON EVERY PAGE of both these documents. And then submit these two documents to the faculty office, regardless of self-find or MMU-find. Any late submission will not be entertained.

For students who choose to find their own placements, please kindly note that offer letters are to be submitted to either your Group Leader or Assistant Group Leader. Once you have submitted the offer letter, no change in training company is allowed.
